We are a group of individuals, mostly volunteers, who are dedicated to eliminating poverty in our community and globally. We believe that through education and action we can elevate our community’s well-being and change the world one step at a time. We are farmers, artists, social activists, community leaders and youth who believe that a sustainable and abundant society is possible, where tools and resources are available to help benefit the overall welfare of society. We believe in social projects that address environmental sustainability, economic equality, artistic development and organic, natural foods that enrich the body and mind. We started with our Charity Gardens, producing organic food with the help of youth volunteers for the purposes of providing the Barrie Food Bank and the Grocery Assistance Program with organic, healthy food. From there we have developed a multifaceted approach of aiding our community through artistic projects that aim at both broadcasting our message and providing at-risk youth confidence and support along with positive space to be creative. We have also tackled the huge issue of transportation’s negative effects on the environment through our Bio-Diesel initiative and our Unity Bicycle center. We believe alternatives to the current world system are both possible and necessary, and we strive to be the change we so desperately need.
